Program Learning Outcomes for the BA Business Program
Students who complete the BA Business Program will:
- Integrate socially responsible best practices with business processes and decision making. (ILO1)
- Apply appropriate quantitative and qualitative methods to solve business problems using critical thinking and analytical skills. (ILO 2)
- Communicate effectively within business and across disciplines using appropriate technology for presentation. ( ILO 3)
- Identify issues and propose innovative solutions to problems that confront business and society. ( ILO 4)
- Demonstrate knowledge, experience and skills needed to succeed as business professionals. ( ILO5)
In addition, students will demonstrate the following outcomes for each concentration:
Leadership: Articulate leadership skills needed to convert business goals into action plans. (ILO 1,2,3,4, 5)
Entrepreneurship: Propose a new business venture with a comprehensive business plan. (ILO 1,2,3, 4,5)
Media and Arts Management: Apply theoretical and practical skills necessary to engage in marketing, funding and management for cultural institution administration. (ILO 1, 2,3, 4,5)
Economics: Articulate economic issues and propose policy solutions to solve problems. (ILO 1,2,3,4,5)
Fashion Marketing: Identify target markets, develop strategies and business plans for a fashion idea/product. (ILO 1,2,3,4,5)
Advertising and Promotion: Propose advertising and public relations strategies utilizing social media and digital marketing. (ILO 1,2,3,4,5)
