PHIL 204 Contemporary Ethical Issues
This course will offer a thorough introduction to modes of ethical reflection, with an emphasis on the application of philosophical method and ethical theory to pressing contemporary issues such as animal rights, climate change and the environment, sexual morality, abortion, euthanasia, the death penalty, gender and race discrimination, economic justice, and war and terrorism. Further emphasis will be placed on models of transforming ethical theory into personal and political action.
