THTR 341 Acting: Intermediate Scene Study
This course is designed to continue the training acquired during THTR 212: Beginning Scene Study. Students apply research and script analyses, character development, and expressive use of language to the performance of scenes and monologues from contemporary plays with varied and diverse given circumstances. Students also begin to develop the ability to choose material for themselves, contributing to a deeper sense of agency, inclusivity, identity, ownership, and personal connection within their acting. Written assignments help contextualize the plays studied and offer opportunities for reflection. Additional lab fee applies.
