BUS 319 Entrepreneurs for Equity

This course provides an overview of the ways in which social entrepreneurs harness digital technologies for civic engagement and social good. The course also features digital innovation being used to address diversity & equity issues across various fields including public health, education, law, business and the non-profit sector.  Students will review case studies of organizations and social entrepreneurs utilizing digital technologies and the resulting impact on civic engagement and participatory agency on both local community level and global scale. Evolving best practices as well as an overview of quantitative and qualitative methods of program evaluation and assessment will also be included. Each student will propose a final social entrepreneurship project that will apply the principles studied in this course.
