Students may elect to follow the degree requirements according to catalogue requirements in place during any of the following catalogue years:
- The entering year catalogue with requirements in effect on the date the student first entered MMC; this catalogue must be dated more recently than 10 years prior to the graduation date.
- The graduation year catalogue with requirements in effect on the date of their graduation.*
- The catalogue preceding the graduation date by one or two years.*
- The catalogue year 2023-24 in which the General Education requirements were changed from prior years - (For students who entered MMC prior to the Fall 2023 term).*
* Students who plan on using catalogue requirements in option 2 - 4 will need to file a “Catalogue Change Petition” form with the Office of Student Success Advising. The petition must be submitted and approved by the Assistant Dean or Dean of Student Success Advising before the student applies for graduation with the Office of the Registrar.
The Registrar’s Office evaluates each student who has formally filed an application for graduation on the basis of requirements published in the catalogue year using one of the four options above. Under no circumstances may a student elect to be evaluated for degree requirements under a catalogue in effect prior to the student's first term of studies.
