AIP 306 Social Construction and Images of Menstruation (CP)

This course examines the ways that the physical phenomenon of menstruation has been represented in various media and the meaning and significance that have been attributed to it. Students will study television and film representations, advertising practices, semantic variations, and the shaping of attitudes as well as variations in views of menstruation over time and across various cultures.
