THTR 341 Acting: Intermediate Scene Study
This course is designed to continue the training acquired during THTR 211 & 212 through a variety of approaches to acting, while incorporating advanced research processes, script analyses, and character development. As in THTR 211 & 212, there is an emphasis on actor physicality, playing of actions, connection to partner, and moment-to-moment techniques; however, THTR 341 moves into rigorous development of scripted scene work at the start of the semester with emphasis on given circumstances, character development, and use of language. More complex characters and given circumstances are explored. Multiple research and writing assignments are required to contextualize the material covered. Additional lab fee applies.
