THTR 337 Directing for Musical Theatre

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of directing for musical theatre. Topics include script and character analysis, stage composition and blocking, choreographic movement, and musical coaching. Students will direct scenes and songs from the classic and contemporary musical theatre repertoire for class presentation. Outside rehearsal work is required. Additional lab fee applies.
