EWL 217 Early Modern Literature 

This course explores the development of European literature through the early modern era (from the Reformation through to the mid-seventeenth century). Readings will show the vast differences in outlook and style from several countries, including the “high” renaissance of Italy, the Lutheran reforms of Germany, and poetry from the newly-Protestant England.
