THTR 390 Acting for the Camera
This course focuses on the skills needed to act for the camera. Topics include monologues, auditioning, and scene work in various on-camera mediums—situation comedies, television dramas, commercials, and films. The student will also learn how to self-tape auditions and how to do live auditions through Zoom. There is also discussion about the professional business of acting, including the roles of casting directors, agents, and managers, the unions, and the tools of how to get work. Additional lab fee applies. Designated for Majors Only.
