CHEM 317 Organic Chemistry I

This course explores the chemistry of carbon compounds with emphasis on reaction mechanisms, functional group analysis and synthesis. Stereochemistry will also be covered in detail. Recitation will focus on problem-solving skills. Three-hour lecture; one-and-one-half-hour recitation.
