Commencement and Graduation
Students who are eligible to graduate may participate in the Commencement Ceremony. The ceremony is an opportunity for students, family, friends, and the entire MMC community to recognize and celebrate our graduates. However, participation in this ceremony does not guarantee degree completion.
Students must apply to graduate and to participate in Commencement.
Graduation is the process of awarding a degree. Graduation involves:
- filing the online graduation application form on MMC Connect;
- certifying all final grades are completed;
- completing ALL degree requirements, and
- satisfying all financial obligations to the College.
To officially graduate from MMC, students must fulfill all degree requirements (including General Education, Program Major(s), concentration(s), minor(s), and college requirements). The official graduation date is not the College’s commencement date. A student’s official graduation date is based upon when a student files the graduation application and when the student completes all degree requirements (See “Degree Conferral Date”).
