RS 329 Indian Philosophy

This course offers an exploration of the main strands of South Asian philosophical reflection.  Emphasis will be placed on the scriptural foundations of both Hindu and Buddhist thought forms, the “orthodox” schools of Hindu thought, their dialogue with Buddhist schools, and the contributions of modern Hindu thinkers, like Gandhi and Aurobindo.
