RS 200 World’s Major Religious Texts

The course centers on the texts of the world’s major religions: Hebrew and Christian scriptures, the Islamic Qur’an, and major texts of Buddhism and Hinduism. Each text will be studied against its historic/geographic background. The focus will be on notable similarities and differences informed by contemporary scholarship.
