THTR 233 Theatrical Make-up
An exploration of the styles and techniques of make-up application with an emphasis on each student’s own facial characteristics. Students examine age make-up, character make-up, and the use of prosthetics to change facial characteristics. Course will also cover special effects and the use of masks and hair. Differences among stage, television and film applications will be discussed. Historical research and styles of make-up and hair will be explored. Additional lab fee applies.
