BUS 343 Entertainment Marketing Cases (MMCS)

Entertainment Marketing Cases is a survey course that examines how marketing has changed due to the rise of content producers and modifications in various underlying contextual factors, such as the increasing use of pop culture icons in advertising and dramatically increased speed of information dissemination across consumers and brands. Throughout the course, students will learn how celebrity endorsers create value for consumers, managers, and other stakeholders. Critical issues related to ethical values and best practices will be analyzed using relevant cases. This course will provide the relevant knowledge, perspectives, and practical skills needed to develop marketing strategies and tactics that leverage the opportunities inherent in employing pop culture icons, and for achieving business and marketing goals in keeping with ethical principles.
