Dear Students,

Welcome to Marymount Manhattan College! Whether you are a new or returning Griffin, you are an important part of our community. Each year we produce this student handbook, The Griffin Guide, to ensure you learn all about the space we share together.

I am thrilled to serve as the Associate Vice President for Student Success and Engagement and your Dean of Students. My job is to help you grow and develop as an individual; build a strong, respectful community; and support your educational experience outside the classroom. Marymount Manhattan College is an incredible institution with much to offer—as such, we hope you choose to share aspects of yourself by participating in a variety of experiences and group events throughout the year. Your college experience can be greatly enhanced by your out-of-classroom, volunteer, and community involvement.

The key to success at MMC is to get involved! The College has over 25 registered student organizations, and the Office of Student Development and Activities produces many events and programs each semester. Both the Student Government Association (SGA) and the Campus Activities Board (CAB) provide many opportunities to get involved, have fun, and make new friends.

Our CityEdge programming puts you on the path from classroom to career through our New York City Seminars, Career Launch Academy, and signature CityEdge courses. CityEdge will propel you into internships, fieldwork, and networking to prepare you to tackle the challenges and responsibilities in your current and future professional arenas.

We know you will find The Griffin Guide, which includes our student Code of Conduct, a valuable resource and encourage you to read through it carefully. We look forward to working with you to enhance your experience as a Marymount Manhattan College student.

Best wishes for an extraordinary year as an MMC Griffin!
