SPAN 360 Revolution and Literature

Sociopolitical concerns have always been important in Latin-American literature. This course will examine the interaction of history and fiction in writing from Mexico, the Caribbean and South America. Topics will include the literature of the Mexican Revolution, the novel of dictatorship, and the U.S. through Spanish-American eyes. Discussions, readings and assignments will be in English. Spanish minors will do readings and assignments in Spanish.
