SPAN 341 Survey of Spanish Literature I

The internationally recognized achievements of the literature of Spain through the Renaissance and the Baroque periods are studied through selections of outstanding works in prose, poetry and drama. Arabic, Catalan, Galician, Italian and French influences are discussed, as well as the effects of the Golden Age on the rest of Europe.
