DANC 108 Tap I
This is a course for the beginning tap dancer interested in learning the basics of tap dance technique and terminology (brushes, shuffles, ball changes, flaps, cramp rolls, time steps, etc.), carriage of the body, use of upper body and arms, control of tap sounds, and the relationship of sounds to increase foot and rhythmic control. Traditional rhythm phrases are taught as well as the world renowned Shim Sham Shimee. This course may be repeated for up to 4 credits. Additional lab fee applies.
