THTR 392 Fundraising & Marketing for the Arts
This course will cover several key areas of visual and performing arts management: financial management and budget planning; accounting practices; marketing and audience development; fundraising; individual, foundation, corporate and government support; partnerships, community building and education outreach programs. Special emphasis will be given to grant proposal research and writing. Readings and lectures will emphasize case studies, and students will make use of New York City cultural institutions and government agencies as sources of research for assignments and projects.
