PHYS 201 Introduction to Physics

This survey course, requiring only basic algebra, will explore the classical themes of physics in the study of matter and energy. The topics include mechanics, fluids in motion, sound, electromagnetism, optics and themes from modern physics. The laboratory exercises form an integral component and help round out the lecture discussions. Three-hour class; three-hour lab. Additional lab fee applies.
