HIST 328 Colonial & Revolutionary America

Course will first study the culture and society of colonial America with emphasis on the transmission and transformation of English culture in the American environment, interaction with Indian culture, development and role of religion, and changing roles of the family. It will then examine the Revolutionary period through the establishment of the federal republic, with particular emphasis on the nature of the transformations of this “event.”
