HIST 246 African-American History Since Reconstruction

This course surveys the history of African Americans in the United States since 1877. It examines the social, political, economic, and cultural forces that led to the rise of Jim Crow, the redefinition of black labor, black mass migration from the South, the development of urban black communities, and the Civil Rights movement.
