EWL 234 Women’s Literary Traditions

This course will study several representative works of literature written by, about, and for women, emphasizing the societal forces upon women and the role of literature in both accepting and challenging roles and options for women. Works by authors such as Charlotte Bronte, Virginia Woolf, Harriet Jacobs, and Jean Rhys may be included.
