EWL 228 African-American Literary Traditions

This course will be a study of the development of African-American literature beginning with the period of slavery and continuing through the present. Authors studied may include Harriet Jacobs, Jean Toomer, Ralph Ellison, Richard Wright, Paule Marshall, Alice Walker, and Toni Morrison.
