EWL 120 World Literature: themes
In this course, students will read works of world literature representing various cultures, eras, and genres to see how different texts address the same theme (themes will vary semester to semester). By comparing diverse readings on one subject, students will learn to understand cultural differences and draw connections across historical and geographical boundaries. Students will also strengthen the essential skills of reading, analyzing, and writing about literature. All works will be read in English.
