DANC 107 Jazz I for Non-Majors
This course is designed to introduce basic knowledge of jazz dance and its history. This class focuses on various styles from classical to modern jazz with an emphasis on developing coordination, timing and strength. Syncopation and isolations of the body is introduced. May be combined with a 2nd Non-Major (2) credit class to be accepted as a Gen Ed DS1. Additional lab fee applies.
Prerequisite
The Dance Department highly recommends that students without any previous dance experience take
DANC 105: prior to taking this course. Prerequisite
