THTR 228-229 Musical Theatre Techniques
This course explores the problems unique to musical theatre and emphasizes the expression of a dramatic situation through song interpretation, character and movement. Students explore song and dance material drawn from major periods of the American musical theatre. Close readings of scripts and song dossier forms are a component of the course. Short papers are assigned which require outside reading and research. Additional lab fee applies.
