PHIL 440 Kant
Immanuel Kant’s work had a major impact on almost all of the sub-disciplines of philosophy: metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, aesthetics, logic, and political theory. And while there are many philosophers who disagree with Kant, very few have been able to avoid his influence altogether. His impact has been felt most dramatically in metaphysics, epistemology, and ethics. This course, which is designed to familiarize students with the most important aspects of Kant’s work, will focus on these three topics.
