PHIL 401 Plato
In this course major works of Plato are examined: Apology, Crito, Phaedo, Republic, Phaedrus, Symposium, Gorgias, and Sophist. Themes such as the soul, virtue, knowledge, the real and the apparent, and the ideal state will be discussed.
Prerequisite
WRIT 102 or
WRIT 201 & two previous PHIL courses, or by permission of the department
