THTR 452 Theatre Design Collaboration Seminar

Design Collaboration Seminar provides an opportunity for in-depth study in collaborative design projects. Students will expand from their chosen concentration (costumes, scenery, lighting, sound, technical theater, or media) and develop the skills necessary to work in this collaborative field. The entire design process will be examined from conception through execution, to final presentation in the context of historical and contemporary theatrical design practice. There will be an emphasis on critical analysis of research information with the ability to synthesize visual, historical, and cultural information into a cohesive approach to designing a project. At the end of the semester students  will have created a portfolio of their work to present professionally and to graduate programs. Additional lab fee applies.
