THTR 305 Elements of Directing

This course introduces the student to the principles and practices of stage direction. Basic directorial concepts are studied and practiced using exercises and open scenes. Topics include stage visualization, composition, movement, script analysis, and production research. The director’s function and responsibilities are explored in relationship to collaboration with other theatre artists and technicians. Additional lab fee applies.
