BUS 225 The Business of Fashion
This course provides students with an overview of the fashion industry and its economic, technological and social development in the US since 1945; contemporary changes brought on by globalization and the web; the interrelationship of the various businesses that comprise the industry; fashion forecasting, design and merchandising; and retail fashion marketing. Students will utilize examples from the fashion industry in NYC for their projects, and there will be field trips to fashion design and marketing firms.
