SPCH 263 Audiology I: Disorders, Diagnosis and Treatment
Students are introduced to the field of Audiology, which is the study of hearing and hearing disorders. Topics include physics of sound, pathology and treatment of auditory disorders, interpretation of audiograms and introduction to impedance testing and masking principles, public school hearing-conservation programs, and habilitation and rehabilitation of hearing-impaired children and adults. Students will also learn and perform audiometric screenings.
