SOC 491 Senior Seminar
Intended for seniors who have completed most of their major departmental requirements, this course provides the student with an opportunity to study in depth major issues in sociology, many of which have been introduced in earlier courses. A different topic will be covered each year. Topics may include the sociology of race, ethnicity and sexuality; deviance and social control; criminology; surveillance; the sociology of art, technology, science and culture; and urban sociology, among others. Students may repeat this course for credits, but may not repeat topics.
