COMM 405 Capstone Project 2: Production and Distribution
This is the second course in the capstone sequence and it focuses on production, distribution and community engagement. Students create the projects they conceived in the previous semester. They hone their analytical, time management, entrepreneurial, and professional production skills. The course encourages skill sharing, high production values, collaboration, and peer critique in a pre-professional setting. Students have an opportunity to present their finished work to the college community and are mentored to submit their projects to film festivals and other professional media venues. In this process of completing and exhibiting a major work, students carefully consider the social and ethical implications of their practice and understand how it is situated in an artistic tradition.
