BUS 108 Creating Fashion Lines
This course provides students with a comprehensive overview of fashion product development. Specifically, this course offers knowledge related to the creative process of developing a fashion line including topics such as trend analysis, concept development, design type selection, and textile/fabric decision. The course will also require field trips to the Garment District. This is a “hands-on” and “experiential” class where students will physically create various boards that resemble those created and used by professional fashion designers. Lastly, the course touches on key trends and issues impacting the fashion business today.
