SPCH 435 Diagnostic Principles in Speech-Language Pathology

This course introduces students to the science and art of diagnosis in speech-language pathology by emphasizing the  theory behind the development of and appropriate use of standardized and non-standardized ways of understanding the speech and language abilities of children and adults with suspected communication disorders. In addition, the course fosters critical evaluation of formal and informal testing methods and familiarizes the student with procedures and materials used in the evaluation of speech-language disorders.
