SPAN 344 Survey of Latin American Literature II: The Twentieth Century

The course will survey the literary production of this century, including realism and naturalism, poetic traditions, and masterpieces of contemporary magical realist, fantastic, and testimonial fiction. Recent works by younger writers, including U.S. Latino authors, will also be considered.
