PS 402 American Constitutional Law

This course is a study of the formation and interpretation of the American Constitution. Class discussions will focus on leading Supreme Court decisions in various areas of the law. The major topics to be covered include: Judicial review, the Courts, federalism, freedom of speech, press, assembly and religion, libel, slander, obscenity, privacy, criminal procedure, and equal protection of the laws.

Social Science Majors with 300-level SOC course work or permission of instructor
