DANC 357 Techniques of Teaching Dance I: Creative Dance for Children
This course offers a practical exploration of the principles, theories and methods of teaching creative dance to children. Students develop and employ critical thinking skills for assessment of pedagogical goals and objectives for use in class planning. This course covers the educational dance model for use in public schools and introduces students to the benefits and outcomes of an integrated creative arts experience. Students are required to assist in creative movement classes for children at various institutions in NYC.
