COMM 238 Advanced Reporting
This course will build on the skills learned in COMM 205 Journalism in the 21st Century and reflect the multimedia nature of journalism. Students will read writing across disciplines to critically analyze story and reporting structure. Student will focus on the craft of journalism including researching and reporting an issue in-depth, analyzing data, developing sources, interviewing, covering beats, and improving writing and storytelling skills. Students will promote their work on social media and learn audience engagement techniques.
