BIOL 340 Introduction to Organic- & Bio-chemistry

In this course, the major organic functional groups will be presented together with the basic concepts of organic reaction mechanisms. Stereochemistry will also be considered. Emphasis will be placed on the biological relevance of organic reactions. In the second part of the course, the basic concepts of structural and metabolic biochemistry will be presented. Four-hour class.
