EWL 310 The English Novel
Since its development in the Eighteenth Century, the novel has been the most popular form of imaginative literature. This course will study a selection of major English novels from the works of Defoe, Fielding, Richardson, Austen, the Brontes, Dickens, Eliot, Hardy, Conrad, and Joyce.
