CHEM 233 General Chemistry I

TThis is the first semester of a two-semester cycle of General Chemistry. Principles of the interaction of matter, as derived from modern atomic theory, are systematically developed and applied to chemical properties, reactions, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, and equilibria.  Recitations will focus on problem-solving skills and will include computer-assisted instruction. Three-hour lecture; one-and-one-half-hour recitation.
